I always a get a bit dizzy when I spend time in a bookstore.
I thought maybe it was the rush of blood to my head being in the company of all those books, with all those information/ knowledge/ words waiting to be revealed in between its pages.
I thought maybe it was the rush of adrenalin and a slight sense of hope to see my name among the shelves someday.
I thought maybe I was getting a bit claustrophobic with all these people who actually ENJOY reading!
I thought maybe it was from the smell of new books and printed paper (one of my fave smell, by the way.)
I thought maybe I was high from the excitement of checking out new books I wanna read.
I thought maybe it was from the sweet nostalgia of coming across a book I’ve read and totally LOVED.
I thought maybe it was from the thought of knowing that no matter what is going on in my life, I can always seek solace in one of these books.
I thought maybe I was touched by the hard work all these writers put in to create literature, and how they put their love for words above anything else.
I thought maybe it was from the joy of seeing a kid tucked away in a corner of the store, engrossed in his/ her book.
I thought maybe it was because I was holding my breath as I browsed through some REALLY good poetry.
And then I realized I always a get a bit dizzy when I spend time in a bookstore because I stand at the same spot for a long time and tilt my head to read the spines on the shelves.
